California Dreamin'
Bill Martin's presentation to (IGHSPA) the International Ground Source Heat Pump Consortium's Conference & Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada
October 10, 2013.

A PDF file of the slides in Bill's presentation will be placed (below, left) for you to access after his presentation.  Bill dreams of a future, better day in California where barriers to the ground source heat pump market have been conquered and his state makes significant progress on reduction of its electric/gas energy use and production of greenhouse gases.

Content of California Dreamin'
(How can we increase Geothermal Heat Pump installations in this state?)

California is a paradox whose history for energy conservation and technological achievement led to a regulatory approach favoring solar and renewable electricity over GHPs.  Recognition of GHPs' permanent electric load reduction and greenhouse gas reduction could lead to full or partial credit in electric utilities' Renewable Portfolio and perhaps on-bill financing.
